Our Story

In 2005, Wellcare Home Medicals Limited began with a simple but powerful mission — to make quality healthcare accessible at home for Nigerians. At a time when professional in-home care was nearly unheard of in the country, we set out to change the narrative.

We became Nigeria’s first professionally run homecare company, bringing compassion, dignity, and expertise right to the doorsteps of those who needed it most — older adults, chronically ill patients, and loved ones recovering from illness or surgery.

Today, Wellcare Home Medicals stands as a trusted name in home-based healthcare. Our company is proudly led by Dr. Jumoke Odunsi and managed by a team of seasoned professionals who are passionate about redefining caregiving standards in Nigeria.  

Our caregivers, nurses, and personal aides are more than just staff — they are the heart of Wellcare. Carefully selected, thoroughly vetted, and trained using internationally recognized UK Care Modules, they bring skill, empathy, and dedication into every home they serve. Wellcare has provided its services to hundreds of individuals and families across all parts of Nigeria, all in the comfort of their homes.
 
In 2013, Wellcare established Nightingale’s Caregivers Academy (NCA), to train professional Caregivers. NCA is currently partnering with an international organisation to ensure global acceptability of its certificate.
